Hi,

My name is Timea Gerocsne Tama, 
an Ofsted registered childminder and the founder of The Learning Nest. 

I have 12 years of experience across 10 nurseries, in roles from unqualified bank staff to nursery manager. 

I grew up in a village where I could explore freely, follow my own ideas, and experiment with the world around me. That freedom made me resourceful, independent, and creative, and I learned many practical skills through real-life, hands-on experiences rather than toys.

I have a beautiful son, and my heart broke when he was physically assaulted in one of the nurseries he attended. Watching the CCTV footage was devastating, and I would never wish any parent to experience that. This personal experience drives my commitment to create a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for every child.

I feel for 1-, 2-, and 3-year-olds who spend long hours in institutional settings, following strict routines and adult rules. That inspired me to create a place where children can be themselves, experience a real childhood, and grow in an emotionally safe, supportive environment. This is my passion, and every day I dedicate myself to making it a reality.
